S.A.R.J.S. completes 27 years

School life is fun, school life is exciting and the moment a student steps into the Jaipuria family, he is branded as a "Mighty, Mighty Jaipurian" as our anthem goes. As a Jaipurian, you stand apart form the rest. Every day is a learning experience, a joy to savour, a new day in itself, which adds to our glorious history of the past 27 years. The 27 years of an institution in its making and this is how it all began….

…. The first rays of the sun lifted the nights veil giving way to a clear dawn. It was the 13th of September,1966 that marked the beginning a day to be remembered and cherished for years to come. It was on this day that the foundation of our school was laid by Late Mrs. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India.

The dreams of Seth Anandram Jaipuria had taken concrete shape and were soon to become a reality. The school became operational in January 1974 with class I and VII having over 400 boys and girls in all.

At Seth Anandram Jaipuria School ,Kanpur, stress is laid on inculcating amongst students a spirit of Sanatan Aryan Culture through English medium thus bringing out the best of the east and the west with emphasis on Indian Culture and imparting of proficiency through the versatile medium of English.

Padma Bhushan Seth Mangturam Jaipuria had no conventional degree form any college or school but he was considered one of the best brains of the country. He had the God gifted farsightedness to understand that the prerequisite of independent India was to give proper education to people as the prosperity of a country depends on the proper education of its people. His first education institution, Seth Anandram Jaipuria College came up in Calcutta in 1945.

The House of Jaipurias has acquired a place and stature of its own in the industrial field of the nation, employing innovations in latest technology backed with efficient management. Simultaneously a number of institutions intended for public welfare, such as schools, colleges, eye-hospitals and public guesthouses have come into existence and are being run efficiently.

Another school, Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, was started at Lucknow in 1992. In order to pursue quality education at higher levels, a Management School, Jaipuria Institute of Management (JIM), has been set up at Lucknow in July 1995. According to the survey conducted by The Pioneer Press, it is ranked 9th amongst such 450 institutions existing across the country. The Jaipuria Charitable Trust has also set up a School near Kosi Kala (Mathura) to meet the requirements of industrial staff and to serve the local people. An eye hospital run by the Trust at Nawalgarh has 185 beds and is equipped with modern X-ray and operation theatre facilities. Public guesthouses have been built at Varanasi, Haridwar, Vindhayachal, Vrindaban and Chitrakoot.
